mDOS (Modular Desktop Organization System) is a flexible, expandable way to organize the small stuff that tends to take over your desk, drawer, workbench, vape, smoke, or everyday gear station. Build a compact setup for a few essentials, or connect multiple base grids together to create a larger layout that fits the way you actually use your space. Use it for vape gear, glass accessories, tools, batteries, dosing capsules, screens, small parts, office supplies, hobby gear, and anything else you want to keep within reach.
The idea is simple: start with a base grid, add the bins and components that fit your setup, then expand or rearrange the system as your needs change. mDOS uses a Gridfinity-compatible layout, which means compatible bins, trays, and holders can be moved, swapped, and rearranged instead of being locked into one fixed organizer.
mDOS is built around modular base grids, drop-in bins, trays, holders, and specialty components. Each base grid gives you a foundation for your layout. From there, you can mix and match components to hold the items you use most.
You can keep your layout small and simple, or connect additional base grids together to create a larger organizer that grows with your setup. This makes mDOS useful for a desktop, drawer, shelf, workbench, hobby area, or dedicated gear station.
Gridfinity is a popular modular storage format built around a simple idea: use a grid base, then place compatible bins, trays, holders, and organizers wherever they fit. Instead of being stuck with one fixed organizer layout, you can move parts around, swap bins, expand the layout, and build a setup around the items you actually use.
mDOS is designed and tested for compatibility with standard Gridfinity-style bins and base plates. That means mDOS bins and components can be used with many existing Gridfinity-style setups, and standard Gridfinity-style bins can be used on mDOS base grids.
Already have a Gridfinity-style setup? You do not need to buy a complete mDOS kit to use our parts. Choose the mDOS bins, trays, holders, or specialty modules that fit your needs and add them to your existing organizer.
Starting from scratch? You can begin with the mDOS Starter Kit, or browse available mDOS base grids and individual components to build your own layout piece by piece.
The main difference is the mDOS base grid system. mDOS base grids are thicker than standard Gridfinity base plates so they can support the BridgePin connection system. Because of that, mDOS base grids are intended to connect with other mDOS base grids rather than third-party base plates.
In short: mDOS bins and components are Gridfinity-compatible, while mDOS base grids use their own thicker modular connection system.

mDOS base grids are designed to connect together using mDOS BridgePins. BridgePins press into the side connection slots and help hold multiple mDOS base grids together with very minimal play.
BridgePins are included with every mDOS Starter Kit, base grid, and expansion grid. We include more pins than required to connect the included base grids, since these small connector parts can be damaged if forced, installed at an angle, or removed during layout changes.
For best results, BridgePins should be inserted straight into the connection slots. Pliers are not required for normal installation, but they may make BridgePin installation easier. Pliers are recommended when removing BridgePins from the base grids.
We recommend planning your layout before installing BridgePins, especially if you are building a larger grid. You can rearrange your mDOS setup later, but careful assembly helps reduce stress on the pins and base grid connection slots.

BridgePins hold the base plates together for normal layout building. For the most secure setup, especially when spanning multiple base plates, mDOS bins and components can also be secured from underneath using M3x6mm screws.
The screws install upward through the base grid into the bottom of the bin or component. The base grids include tapered inset openings so the screw heads sit flush with the bottom of the base, with no screw heads sticking out underneath.
Screw reinforcement can be especially helpful when a bin or component spans across more than one base plate. Securing a component across the seam can help lock the connected base plates together into a more rigid grid.
You do not need to use every screw hole. Most components only need two or four screws for a secure fit. Some taller or heavier components may benefit more from being screwed to the base, while stackable bins and smaller trays may not need screws at all.
M3x6mm screws are included with mDOS Starter Kits and bins. A #1 Phillips screwdriver is required for installation and is not included. Product descriptions will note when screw reinforcement is recommended for a specific mDOS component.

Not everyone needs the same organizer. Some people want a small desktop tray for tools and batteries. Others want a larger drawer setup, a workbench station, or a dedicated spot for glass accessories, stems, adapters, jars, capsules, and small parts.
mDOS is designed so you can start with the pieces that make sense for your setup, then add more base grids and components later. You are not locked into one layout, one kit, or one specific use.
Use a small setup for daily essentials, build a larger footprint for a workbench, or add individual mDOS modules to an existing Gridfinity-style system. The system is meant to grow with your space, your tools, and the gear you actually use.
Customer requests help shape future mDOS modules. If you need a holder, bin, tray, stand, or organizer for a specific item, we want to hear about it.
Whether you are organizing dry herb vaporizer accessories, glass pieces, tools, batteries, hobby parts, desk supplies, or something completely different, send us a request and let us know what you are trying to store.
Many Delta 3D Studios products started as custom requests, and mDOS is designed with that same practical spirit. If enough customers need a similar part, a custom request may even help shape a future public mDOS module.
