The mDOS Starter Kit is an easy way to start building a compact, expandable organization setup for your desk, workbench, hobby area, or gear station.
Built around the popular Gridfinity layout, mDOS uses modular base grid plates, stackable bins, and connecting BridgePins so you can start small and expand your setup over time.
Choose Your Setup
- Full Starter Kit with Bins: Includes the base grid plates, BridgePins, M3 screws, and a starter assortment of bins.
- Base Grid Only: Includes the modular base plates, and BridgePins, without bins.
Starter Kit Footprint
The starter base is made from two 2x2 mDOS grid plates connected side by side. When assembled, the layout measures approximately 6.5 inches wide by 3.25 inches deep.
Each 2x2 grid plate has BridgePin connection slots on three sides, leaving one smooth side that can be placed forward for a cleaner finished edge.

Assembly Notes
BridgePins are designed to press into the side slots of the base grid plates to connect modules together. No tools are required for normal installation, though pliers may help when inserting or removing pins.
Plan your layout before installing the BridgePins. The pins are small functional parts and may break if forced in at an angle or removed roughly.
Optional Screw Reinforcement
Eight M3 screws are included for optional reinforcement. Most bins do not need to be screwed down, but securing bins can help lock the layout together and reduce movement, especially with taller bins or setups that may get bumped during regular use.
A #1 Phillips screwdriver is required for installing the included M3 screws. Screwdriver not included.
Build It Your Way
The mDOS system is designed to grow with your setup. Start with a small desktop layout, rearrange it as your needs change, and expand with additional base plates, bins, trays, holders, and custom modules over time.
