BarraCoola Cooling Stem for 8mm devices

The 8mm BarraCoola is named for it's resemblance to the fiercely effective fish, and features a new T-Core cooling pathway design from MMSmetalworks. With a simple three part design, this stem is extremely easy to clean. Furthermore, it's capable of sustaining heavier use before cleaning without degradation of airflow and cooling. Through mass and volume, the BarraCoola can absorb massive amounts of heat from devices, delivering smooth draws even as it becomes too hot to hold. Don't be afraid to pair this stem with your biggest and hottest devices!

 

Compatibility:

The 8mm BarraCoola is designed to be a modularity playground for end users. It's compatible with any 8mm connection device, such as the Dynavap and Tempest. It can also connect to 8mm adapters made for other devices. It's mouthpiece, outside of being used as a direct flow adapter, allows room and depth for 8mm mouthpiece and cooling pathway accessories. The 14mm cone on the body is compatible with any 14mm inlet connector (Note: only part of the connector will insert into the inlet, with the remaining slope for aesthetic). 12mm/TM2 mouthpieces are compatible with the BarraCoola body, in place of the included mouthpiece.

T-Core Configuration (Standard)

Install any 8mm connection device into the non sloped end of the BarraCoola, drawing from the mouthpiece or sloped end of the body tube. Heat from the device is pulled through a thick wall heatsink tube before hitting the internal T-Junction. Once diverted out of the T-Junction, it wraps around the internal pillar core to provide maximum contact with the walls of the body. From there, it dumps into an empty expansion chamber for further cooling before narrowing down the mouthpiece. 

Direct Pass Through Configuration (14mm cone or zero pathway obstruction use)

Remove the T-Core from the body tube, and place the mouthpiece from the sloped end into it’s place. Then, transfer your 8mm device to the relocated mouthpiece. This allows a direct pathway through the body, with the 14mm cone to be used as a 14mm GonG adapter or direct draw mouthpiece. 

 

Cleaning Instructions
Everything on the BarraCoola, including o-rings, is safe to be soaked/cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. There is no need to remove the orings unless they are very damaged. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry thoroughly before storing.

Beeswax makes a great o-ring lubricant, but it is not necessary as long as you are careful about reassembling the stem.
