MMSmetalworks LLC is built on decades of experience with DIY modification and customizing, paired with a strong background in handheld lighting design. Founded in 2024, each item is handcrafted through manual machining and hand finishing to deliver a functional and artistic final product. The design incorporates a deep understanding of thermal extraction devices and materials safety, to take each device to the next level.
In addition to the aesthetic flair each piece adds, a strong focus on heat dissipation in a compact size flows through all of her designs. MMS found that many of her favorite devices were uncomfortably hot in their stock form, and has worked hard to create durable solutions suited to each unique device.
Throughout her life, MMS saw nearly everything as an opportunity for engineering or artistic improvement. With this foundation of tinkering, MMS values user serviceability and maintenance, as well as customization with off the shelf components. As a long time thermal extraction device enthusiast and collector, she enjoys tucking easter eggs of cross compatibility wherever possible in her designs. Owners are encouraged to use these building blocks for continued enjoyment of each piece she makes.
The "MMS" in MMSmetalworks stands for MareMareSing, which was her online handle in enthusiast spaces. Many people ask what MareMareSing stands for, and she's pleased to explain that it's completely made up because it seemed fun to say (as so many good things are).
